The aim of this study was to define their characteristics, prognostic factors, and the impacts of adjuvant radiotherapy (RT) and chemotherapy on outcomes. WebPatients with NF1 have a high incidence (15-20%) of optic pathway gliomas, but the majority of these optic pathway gliomas has an indolent course and will never cause visual disturbance or require treatment. Routine MRI screening in NF1 patients looking for optic pathway gliomas is not recommended.
