It should now have been perfectly recognised by the computer via the headphone's mic and it will now work even if you unplug the headphones from it. Hope this solves your problem too. Good luck! It was a bit hacky the way I managed to have it working. The blueboard app installer won’t proceed as is incompatible with M1. I have a macbook pro 2015 with the app installed and I literally airdropped the blueboard app from Applications folder to the Mac Mini.
