WebFeb 13, 2011 · Instead of straight tubing, I have been using the flaring tool to make a partial flare at the end of the tubing. This leaves a nice 'bulge' that your clamps cannot go past. The clamping tool also leaves a little 'texture' in front of the bulge that your hose can grip. It's simple to do and pretty secure.
